It's been a long time since our last blog post. As the admin of this blog, we humbly seek apologize for the late update :') (*especially to our Mr. President, Zikri ! :D) So, in this post I will be doing some recap or #throwback on our club activities on February 2015 to September 2015 (however I'll divided all the stories in several posts ! So, please STAY TUNE !) Furthermore, there are so many exciting news that I can't wait to share with all of you ♥ 

February 2015

Citra Open Day 1.0 flashmob 

The purpose of the flashmob was to promote Citra Open Day with the involvement of clubs under CiTRA IIUM ( Angklung, Percussion, Gamelan, Gema Gangsa, Nafastari,etc..)

Citra Open Day

This event take place on 10 & 11th February 2015. There are so many activities has been held through these two days such as exhibition and busking. The main highlight of this event was Malam Citra Budaya (Citra Cultural Night). Malam Citra Budaya was the events where all of the clubs under CiTRA IIUM unleashed their talents and creativity for the musical-cultural concert and it was performed by 12 IIUM's cultural clubs.

Ahlan Wa Sahlan 2015 & #CiTRAOpenDay 2015

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

Hello to all wonderful readers. May this entry finds you in good health and may Allah shower His Blessings upon all of us. Today, we have a really good news as we're very happy to inform all of you that IIUM Angklung Club and all other clubs under CiTRA will be collaborating for an annual event known as CiTRA Open Day.

Centre for International Islamic Culture (CiTRA) was established recently in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) aims to promote the beauty of local and international culture imbued with Islamic elements that make it different from other cultural organization that available in other universities.

Hence, CiTRA will organize the "CiTRA Open Day" on 10th - 11th February 2015 in Tuesday - Wednesday, at Cultural Activity Centre (CAC) IIUM.

This event aims to focus more on cultural exhibition and performances from every CiTRAs clubs in accordance with Shariah as to promote culture appreciation among IIUM Community as well as to give exposure to the students and giving them opportunity to learn from experienced.

Among the major events that will be held are as follows:

1) Exhibition booth & Busking Performances
Date: 10th-11th Feb 2015
Day: Tues-Wed
Time: 10am-6pm
Venue: Foyer 1, CAC

2) Malam Santai Budaya CiTRA (Cultural Night)
Date: 11th Feb 2015 (Wed)
Time: 8pm - 11pm
Venue: Main Hall CAC

Cultural Night Taaruf Week Sem 1, 2013/2014

Assalamualaikum dear lovely readers.

We come back with the collaboration show for cultural night Taaruf Week Semester 1, 2013/2014. This event has been involved by 11 cultural clubs which are Angklung, Acoustic Band, Percussion, Andeka Caklempong, Gamelan, Nasyeed, Theathre, Poetry, Zapin, Dikir Barat, and CPC. First of all, welcome to the Garden of Knowledge and Virtue to all new students. As being scheduled, the cultural night is on 8th September 2013. So, our members who will perform on that night have come back to IIUM on 30th September 2013 to start the training. We have been trained by Sis Intaz Syafinaz Sazali, Sis Dian Elisatun Nadhiyah, Sis Najihah, Bapak Dadang, and Cikgu Ku Zahir who personally train us for our new song, Can't Take My Eyes Off You. Alhamdulillah, we managed to perform Song of Do Re Mi and Can't Take My Eyes Off You (collaborate with IIUM Acoustic Band). Another three songs collaborated by all music-based clubs are Overture, Santubong and Symphony 40.

Iftar IIUM Angklung Club

Assalamualaikum.

Alhamdulillah, our mainboard has successfully organised an iftar for Angklung Club members on 24th July 2013. It is a joyful iftar for everybody as we managed to break the fast and perform tarawih together. It really help to strengthen our ukhuwah. After performing tarawih, there's an appreciation session for the seniors who will be graduated this short semester. After that, we do recording for "Selamat Hari Raya" song.
